i was winding wool the other day, skeins of all types around me being wound into neat [and not so neat] bundles. and my husband walked in and exclaimed:
so you've moved on from hair to rope.
and he was right. everything i wound was thick, needing thicker needles, creating bigger cakes of wool.
i - brooklyn tweed shelter in fossil [slowly becoming something twisted]
ii - blue sky alpaca worsted hand dye in putty [slowly becoming something to twist and fold]
I bookmarked that cowl too when I saw it - I'm thinking of making one for winter this year as well!
I'd love to hear what you think about the Shelter - I've been umming and aahhing over a purchase for some time now....
Looking forward to seeing both projects on completion....
