Using the buttonhole feature on my machine always makes me feel like a genius. It seems once I make one buttonhole, I find dozens of other things that "need" a buttonhole.

Great button and fabric!

Bel

So you've tamed the beast! But which buttonhle of the 27 did you use?!?

helen

i was so thrilled when my new machine had an automatic buttonhole foot. tell it the length of the hole you want, depress the pedal and wait for it to finish.

Jo

OK, so rub it in ....

Shula

Is this a colour cast happening?

Or are you sewing in (gasp!)

Pink?

(not that there's anything wrong with that)...

di

And what a beautiful one it is too :)

(Hey is Bel kidding there.. I know your machine is capable of many incredible things, but really, 27??)

and the coolest thing about the automatic buttonhole, is it has MEMORY. So you can make a ga-jillion of the same size. And store it in the memory for later too.
brilliant.
I like the pink!

rebecca

i love this lilac and fuschia fabric, who makes it, please?

joyce

can't wait to see what you're making...
i haven't touched the buttonhole feature yet on my machine...a little daunting...

Felicia

Can't wait to see the finished product. It looks pretty so far.

amisha

i've been coveting that fabric for so long now... and with that button... yes, i need that, please. :)

Heidi

I've always been too afraid to try. Now I'll have to go for it!

My sewing machine (a 10-year old Elna Quilter's Dream) recently broke down (the computer in it) and I'm in the market for a new machine. What is your machine and do you like it? Thanks. I mostly quilt but also do other simple things like placemats and purses.
