If you followed a line, followed it's progression, where would it lead...should you know the answer before you set out
Or should you open yourself up to possibility.
I decided to take a deep breathe, and open up to possibility.
I've been working towards a more streamlined approach, and have been having fun for a while now with Tumblr, where I hold a small collection of photographs which mean something to me, which I really love, which have reflected my thoughts, my feelings, my days. It's a personal space. It's taken me over a year to announce it, but it would be nice if you stopped by and had a look. What I love about Tumblr, is it's ability to blog through a very visual medium. Sparse - concise.
| And I love it's ability to have small slideshows so I can group things together |
And from there....the logical progression is to formally offer up some of my photographs for sale. I have now opened up a Bigcartel shop under the same banner of The Theory Of Concise + 6.5st and will offer up a selection of 4 prints each month, with an additional collection of all 4 at a smaller print size [yet to be listed but coming soon]. I'm looking forward to running it a little like a gallery, a monthly expose of what I have found most pleasure with in my photography - a photographic moment [see button on sidebar]. So there will be an aesthetic theming which will change each month. I have been trialling different selections of images framed in my own home, so I know how these all look in frames, in shadows, in light, through the day, through the night. One thing I'm learning, is to not judge before seeing something framed and hung...I hope you might stop by and have a little look there too.
