I am so sorry A.

Amelia

I'm so sorry.
I always thought that death would just take us away quietly and quickly but having seen my father die (also of cancer) I know that it isn't the case. Even this last, desperate, awful thing is hard work. Blessings on you all for not shying away from what he needed.

lynette

There's never any easy way to get through something as brutal as an early death. The hole is always so unnecessary and no amount of patching or distraction can make up for the fact that it shouldn't be there.

He was blessed to have had you all there. He was blessed to be in a country where medical attention was available, and you are blessed to have been able to help him through it and to have been there at the end. That's quite a gift all 'round.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Al. I hope the sun shines brightly soon and replaces the tears with happy memories. xxx

Claudia

First time on your blog....sitting vigil is a life transforming process. Been there, done that, twice in the last year and a half. Tough stuff to work through. Hang in there.

Found your blog while clicking through other blogs to read knitting posts but happy to find deeper thoughts of knitters.

Caterine

Thinking of you all. Hugs and tears.

Alexandra

Thinking of you, sorry for your loss. Great to have such a family or friends around when needed. Hope you'll get through grief and will be able to think back of him with love and a little smile on your face in time..
