Oscillations. That's what I do. I study oscillations. Flux. Flow. Push. Pull. Occasionally something extraordinary comes out of the flight paths. Every once in a while, a little piece of an idea takes hold, and gets gently manipulated into shape, spread across a few different test mediums, till the real can eventuate in a sing song parade of hopeful glory.
I am midstream - floating along between tested paper, tested fabric, and further improvements of an idea needing to be made before the final surge to a finished product. I am midstream between that wonderful balance of striking strong black and white imagery, and the delicate filigree work of silver leaf and size. I am surrounded by small pieces of silver, feather light, wisped away across a breathe to land somewhere close by. The pads of my fingers are dusted. I love the apparent discord of strength of line and beaten fine metal whispers working against a linen backdrop. Something new. Something to be repeated - tangibility:decadence.
black screen print + white linen + silver leaf.
Now there's an idea to whisper quietly to oneself.
[for reveal soon. when it becomes real]

ahhhh.
you are transporting me to another plane.
one with less stress. less busy-ness. less fuss. less social engagements.
less.
sounds perfectly heavenly to me.

Whispers, quiet thoughts, and soft snow seem to be one of the recurring themes of my day. Thanks for sharing this quiet beauty.

Whispering silver words
a kind of poetic Calligraphy
with your personal hand-fiber-writing
beautiful place is your place
of writing, imagi-ning, creating...
