Wow, I have absolutely no idea! But english is not my native language... Anywas, he must have been upset, and you too!

shula

I was always so bad at this stuff, my daughter used to end up losing her mind.

M-H

mallow?

Patricia

marsh...al art (martial art)

Jodi

Yes I'm thinking marshall arts. Happy to find a beautiful blog and you're in Sydney...so close. Will visit again soon

Liza

Jennifer

Jennifer

duh. ignore my last comment. that's what you called it. silly me.
I was always so good at this stuff with my son--but I can't think of what your son means!

Mary-Laure

Ha! Kids are much smarter than we are!

Creature of Habit

I spent the entire week in Chicago looking at my sister saying "what did she say".....she had to act as my translator with the little one. I got pretty good by the end of the week....but still, I was only sure of what she was saying 50% of the time.

So- I am of no use here.

Penny Peberdy

Yes, I agree with Sahn - would it be:

Take one, do...

Darla

joyce

it's funny what comes out of the mouths of 5 year olds...i know too...

amy

I think it's martial arts, as in "marsh-last". That's why it's at the end! Great story...!

michelle

Too too funny. Astonishing how they can bend you over a barrel in an instant isn't it.

Lin

How funny! I can't work out what he means but it reminded me of a word my son used to have. Pee pum bul ... he said this for many months and we couldn't work it out, it was ping pong ball!!

Jane in London

My word at the end of marshmallow is generally STICKY. But I'm a bit literal (particularly if I've been toasting them!) ~x~

vee

smell??!!

jackie

The suspense is killing me - what is it? I'm too dense to figure it out! Either that or having the kids at home is making me brain addled.

Yarn Hungry Hog

Arrgh! The suspense is killing me? What is it? Now you got us piqued. What is it?

Ann C.

Tae kwon do, Korean "foot and hand" sport.
I expect Max is referring to the o ( oh ) sound when pronouncing "marshmallow".
My husband and I ran a TKD studio for many years and we pronounce it : Tae ( sounds like tie )Kwon Do ( sounds like dough ).

Patricia/Toronto

OW. LOL, at some point someone said "martial" to him and, like kids I know, he started thinking, "What's that sound like?" :)
