THE RED BOUNCE
If you have children, you will know just how difficult it is to get a 20 month old child to sit still and pose. It appears that because she is wearing a dotted dress, she must bounce. It is the rule. So I believe. She has bounced, and bounced, and bounced some more. And a nice clear picture of dress, leggings and child are not to be had. I fed my legging obsession, and now we have leggings in charcoal, a wonderful green, and a dusky musk colour. They are so perfect I'm going to have to make more for sleepwear. And then there is the dress. No, the dressES! The red dot, a Nani Iro double gauze in a pattern from this book. One of my all time favourite fabrics and prints, I have used this in so many things, and never tire of it. Clean, fresh, easy to move in, simple lines, subtle a-line shaping, 3/4 length sleeves, and oh so adorable on my babe. Just what I want in clothing for a girl.

What a fabulous outfit, just perfect. I have no idea why the shops persist in making spangly pink and purple tat for girl babies, instead of gorgeous things like this.

Loving the Nani Iro... and handmade leggings... what a luxury. I daydream about making things like this when I become a mother.

Gorgeous dress. I think the bouncing is all the excitement of all the wonderful new clothes mummy has made for her!

adorable!
I wish our climate was better made for a swishy tunic like that - it's just a bit too cold at the moment, and I want one for mine......
It's astonishing isn't it, that the chain stores don't get on to some of these simple things in better colourways. Then again, I suppose it wouldn't be fun if EVERYONE was wearing them would it. ;)

Great outfit. The fuzzy moving shots seem more natural to me. After all, what toddler with such fantastic outfits would want to stay still!

I suspect that, had I a dress with red dots, and leggingsm I might bounce a little too much to be photographed too! It's glorious.
I'm getting all excited: I was bought a new sewing machine today. I have to wait until 8th July to be able to play with it. It's an eternity.

I used to dress my boys in leggings but now O is getting to the age where other people give him funny looks....

The leggings and tunic are adorable - love them. I found out in Chicago just how hard it is to photograph a toddler. Yikes. I cheated and finally put on Spongebob, it was the only way to get her to sit still! ;)
