CURL UP ACHING BODY

Everything aches.
My back aches. My arms ache. Me head throbs. My finger joints ache (that means, no knitting or sewing). My throat aches. I sound terrible. It's been a very long time since I was this ill, and a very long time since Max was this ill as well. We're all down with the flu and have been for days - a raging beast this time which has attacked hard. Being sick by yourself is one thing. Being sick with two children sick as well is another thing entirely, especially when family are a long way away (and on holiday) and husband needs to work.
We all just want to curl up and sleep.
And for some reason I want to eat Cornetto's.
Max wants to teach Pia to say Alligator.
And Pia just wants to cuddle dolly.

You have my sincere sympathy. Being a sick is bad enough. Being sick and having to take care of two other sick people is simply wretched. May better health be visited upon you all very, very soon.

Oh Alison, just give in and have those Cornettos. We had lots of ice cream last week... really good treat when you are down with the flu.
My voice came back just today, Dagny is back to kindergarten since yesterday, but now the husband stays at home...
Get well soon, Alison!!!

Oohhh - look after yourself! We just finished 3 weeks of flu - my little ones are 4 & 7, and I know exactly what you mean about parenting sick kids when you can barely function yourself.

Oh my, all the way around the world! I had this during/directly after Christmas. And it seems like every time I turn around someone else is dropping with the flu. I hope yours speeds along quickly and you are all able to rest, you poor things! Follow Pia's lead, she has the right idea. Curl up.....

The sore throat is a killer. I can reccomend Guardian Decongestant spray for the nose it worked a treat for me.
I have had it for 2 weeks ,just the hacking cough left.
I hope you and your little ones are over it soon.
Chicken soup all round.

Oh you poor thing - I've just got over this one and it's nasty. Watch out for secondary infections - the doctor gave me antibiotics just in case, and I did need them. Hope you're better soon.

Sorry Alison but I had to giggle. i'm feeling really lousy and have a grant application to complete and a six month old wanting all my attention and just thought I'd look at your blog to put some lightness in my day and there you are all sick as well!! so sorry to hear and hope you better soon. i'd love to make the sumidity for charlotte - does it take much skill? I'm average knitter!

I know how awful it is to be sick and in charge of children. Wishing all of you very well soon.
Cornetto's must provide some sort of strange comfort, I craved the mint ones when pregnant yet my normal ice-cream of choice would be something more along the luxury, organic, fresh fruit type of thing!

I feel bad enough for your illness, but missing sewing and knitting...
Get well soon.

So sorry you are sick. It's the worst when you have a triple header like that too, with everyone down. Rest, rest.
