BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME TO

First one. Then another. And then finally a third person said I HAD to go look at Linnet because I may just possibly swoon. I followed when the first person told me to. And had a little peek around the linen tapes. I followed again when the second person told me to, this time around all the linen yarns. I had a little longer peek around, finger hovering over 'Buy' buttons. But when a third person says I really must buy, who am I to argue really. It would be rude, No?
Add one more person to the list of people who love Linnet. Just bathe me in soft linens in greyed out colours, twist strands of linen yarns around my fingers, and draw me in close with linen tapes. I got soft gauze linen, lightweight grey linen, mulberry striped grainbag linen, linen tapes, and linen yarns. All of which look so beautiful it will be hard to actually use them. So I'll just sit and look, for a little while longer.

uh oh, you're the second person to tell me to look over there...

It's a site that I have been going back to for a couple of years now but have yet to buy anything. Deep down I know that once I start buying I just won't be able to stop!

I bought yarn from Linnet "to make washcloths for presents" and you think I can make washclothes from this luscious stuff, even though I know that they will get softer and more luxurious over time, and that a handmade linen washcloth is the epitome of luxury. So I keep sitting and looking at the yarn. I'm sad.

Well, that was a dangerous click. Thanks--some lovely linens coming my way to make Makie-style tops and smocks for my children. :-) Oh, and those buttons! Too bad the squirrels are sold out.

Aren't you pleased that third person was *SO* convincing! I got my second order today. Kevin is out so now I can go and admire the yarn I hid in the drawer.

Baby, Linnet is so you that I'm surprised that they didn't name it 'Alison'.
God, I love it.

Thanks (I think) for introducing me to this shop. Now when we go there in June, I will be able to drag my husband away from the architecture to something much more interesting and I will even have my nephew there to decipher the map on how to find it. Oh and I'm sure my bags will be full by then.

I am very proud of myself. I have no Master card, no visa. I have no paypal account. I don't spend money on the internet. Don't buy beautiful handmade by people (or friends) from the other part of the world. I don't buy gorgeous fabric, luxurious linen or cute printed cotton impossible to find in belgium. Yes, I am very proud of myself. But sometimes a bit sorry :)
