As the countdown begins, and this year draws to a close:
Thankyou to everyone who passed through here, who stopped and read, or who just glanced at photographs; to those who left comments, told their own stories, and who confided their own experiences in private with me; to those who found something they liked and stayed, to those who have read for years, and those who have found this for the first time; to those who have played a special, important, and personal role in the blog, and my life through this year; to those who I have now the pleasure of calling friends, those I have met face to face for the first time, and those who have been a constant source of laughter and hope when I've seen you; for those who have shared your blogs with me, and who I visit as often as I can; to those who have bought from 6.5st, and those who may buy in the future; to those who have been a source of inspiration - who have pushed me forward and shown me new ways to do things; to those near enough to be around the corner from me, and those in far reaches of the world - the closeness this community has is such a joy.

Have a wonderful new year, and thankyou for being a part of my year. 2008 is going to be wonderful.
I just know it!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have an uncluttered house which is [nearly] sparkling, fireworks to attend, some sand to play with, and a beach to lie on.

Happy new year!
A beach to lie on? at this time of night? :)

We, are staying in; I'm making linen cushions using some of my swedish fabrics. This time last year I was at Birthcare with tiny Astrid and Kevin was alone at home eating Christmas ham. I'm not sure whether that makes it an improvement on last year for him.

I'm with you on that - 2008 will indeed be wonderful. Hurrah!!

And thank YOU xox

A beach would be nice.

I have a house full of happy kids.

And a bottle of whiskey.

So I'm cool.

Happy New Year, Al.

A Happy New Year for you :)

and

A Happy New Year for me :)

Happy 2008, lovely one! Blessings on the whole 6.5 gang - may your year be filled with love, laughter and light!

The beach! Sounds so nice. Thank you for all the inspiration. Happy New Year Alison!

"En guete Rutsch is neuä Jahr!" this is good old swiss-german and basically means "slide well into the next year", I guess it comes from drinking high up in the mountains and then sliding home in snow and ice when slightly inuberated (grin)... From my new home in Toronto, Canada I would simply like to say "Have a wonderful New Year, good health, laughter, joy, fulfilled dreams and creative moments!" Huggies and Pampers too....

Happy New Year, Al! Am drinking champagne as I type. x Kirsty x

Happy New Year, wonderful, inspirational, perfectly, perfectly You.

Happy New Year! Best wishes for a wonderful year ahead!

Happy New Year - I hope its a great one!

Happy, happy new year to you. I read further down that you've resigned and I wanted to say to you that having a second child was profoundly different than having a first child, for me (a working mother). I think the second go round, you know exactly what's happening, how quickly it all goes by, and just exactly how precious everything is.

It's harder to miss things the second time around.

I hope you have a spectacular 2008. It took me 2 years into child number two to step outside of my own career box and make the change I needed to be with my family and I've never been happier as an adult.

Cheers to a fantastic 2008!

an uncluttered house, mine is only half-uncluttered. The very hot days put paid to my decluttering frenzy. Hope 2008 fulfills the promise it holds...

I do believe 2008 will indeed be wonderful for you - there has been a change in your "voice" already since you announced your decision to leave work (brave and wonderful decision there lady!).

Yeah for you!

Hope you're enjoying your place in the sun right now. XX

thank you too! you've been an inspiration to me this year. looking forward to continuing to read you in 2008.
