RED LIKE A VASE

The apple pie was very nice. And the cream was very nice with it. I did, however, burn the pie while blogging about going to eat the pie, which is really as sad and tragic as it sounds. I put blogging before apple pie and cream. Luckily though, milk and sugar glazes on puff pastry just caramalise and go a sort of black crispy mess, and still taste good. I keep getting sidetracked in Ravelry and new wool to buy... and patterns to queue. I really must get a shop update done, and then I can get excited by new knit projects. See, I'm thinking about wool and knit patterns even as I write. Just as well there isn't anything in the oven.
First though, a little splash of red. A Diana Fayt red vase - it's been a long time coming, but ever, ever so worth it to sit above me while I work and I thank her so much for taking the time in her schedule to make this.

sorry about the pie:(
but the vase is gorgeous. that should cheer you up.

I love that red Diana Fayt vase!
Hope your next pie will not get burnt by wooly distractions.

such a beautiful vase :)
what a shame about the apple pie {i'm sure it was yummy anyway, caramelised and all} but aren't wool + knitting related distractions one of the best distractions there is? they're definitely my preferred kind :)

Beautiful vase. And I like a woman who doesn't let a little burnt crust get in her way of eating some pie. ;)

I can see that the lovely red vase has put a spring in your step. As a good friend of mine says....'There's no bad red'.......which is a good thought. However THAT is a very good red. Have fun with the knitting.

Followed your link to her etsy and um, oh, wish I had some spare cash... Stunning work. Stunning.
Stunning. Well done you.

Burnt pie. Bummer. I burned choc. chip cookies this morning... the ones I promised the kids as I polished off the last "good one" from the previous evenings baking. Not homemade dough, either, but the pre-packaged nasty-Nestle variety (I know, I suck) Glad to see you're able to post a bit. Hopefully the headcold isn't making life too hellish. Vicks vapor-rub (do you have that there?) or any mentholated grease, rubbed into your feet with exceptionally warm 'thockies' and a good shot of whiskey and honey will do wonders for a cold... trust me, though I sound like a lunatic. hope you're better soon.
