D IS FOR:

As part of quilt bidding for the One In Ten auction, I included a cross stitched initial for the winner if they wanted one. I posted the initial 'D' on Flickr - D is for...... earlier in the week, and the result of the spontaneous 'game' are the following words:
dimitri:diabolical:delicious:darn beautiful:darling:delightful:divine:dirrrrrty:daddy:damn you're a neat stitcher:dear:dierdre:daphne:darla:dame:damsel:damsel in distress:doughnut:definately:dd:dusseldorf:dandelion:dryclean only:delicate:delirious:darkness:danger:delve:deeper:dumpling
Any more?

I'm rather partial to "dumpling." Who doesn't love a word that can be both a food and a form of endearment.
In my current state of mind, D is for "depression." "Delirious" fits too, sort of. Gah. What a downer, huh?

doughnut is my favorite. but more... drafty (because it's on your sidebar), dip (i'm thinking of chocolate-dipped ice cream cones and dipping your toe in the water), dye, dream. daydream. drom. can you tell i am longing for and daydreaming about sleep? :)

I forgot "Doobrie" which is a synonym for "Hoo-hah" or "Thingie" or "That thing I've forgotten the name for".

Was going to say delicious but see it's there.
But then for this week I suppose the words for me are... dying, dead. Death.
