BUT - pink and gray go so WELL together....

lovely al... lovely! [and i love how it's all about adjusting to the morphing child!]

Jo

Ah, soon, one day, you will have no option but to do pink ....

shannon

yeah no pink now. Just you wait sister!!

Kirsten

i LOVE no pink! i succumbed with my daughter but never for myself...

Shula

Charcoal.

My favourite.

sandra

love these simple shapes with the perfect colour... just lovely!

stacey

a nice, basic color with simple shapes. perfect! funny how you talk about the approaching autumn - days getting colder and shorter. makes me think back to months ago when we went through the same thing. now, we're coming out on the other side and spring approaches!

Could you do these clothes for grown-ups - a charcoal wool tunic and trousers would solve my work clothes dilemma at one beautifully draped stroke? Just add a Frank Gehry pendant ...........and? Can't believe I am jealous of a baby's wardrobe!!

amisha

ann demeulemeester meets helmut lang for babies... this, dear, is why you are amazing.
i love the charcoal (such a good and rarely used baby color) and the idea of the body within changing, and in turn changing the garment. lovely.

joyce

lovely -i saw the full ensemble in flickr - definitly no pink...
ava's doting grandmother loves to give her "pink" clothes -- i have no choice --except when i dress her =)

Emily S.

Oh, I love Ann Demeulemeester, and you're definitely channeling her! Lovely!

Sue

Ooh I cant wait to see what you make her. Pink is okay for little girls. I always said no pink, then as soon as I had her she wore pink. I also had lime and purple in her wardrobe too, and navy blue as well as red. I think children look great in almost any color, and I am sure that Pia will look gorgeous as always in the charcoal too.

Stephanie Wood

Lucky Pia that she's getting homemade baby-couture! But bloody hell ... Wish I could afford Ann Demeulemeester and Helmut Lang ...

Cindy

very amish...

Alison, every time I look at this blog:

I think of you, and this particular post of yours made me determined to send you the link. I think you would like the grey linens and wools that make up this child's wardrobe. I've been checking in almost daily to see what she wears for about six months now. V.inspiring.
