Oh my. You've got me seriously coveting that cookie cutter! Lovely photo of your bowls.

i love those little bowls. i used to work casually at David Jones and i would spend a lot of time observing the Ittala wares... the glasswear in particular. i always wondered what people used them for: ash trays? gelato? lollies? empty vessels?

Laura

I have a whole collection of those!
I like to put little white mint drops into the tiny grey one.
And big round green marmalade candies to the bigger green one.
And red tulips into the big clear vase.

Cookie cutter! ...I have to search.

These wases are my favourites. We have two large, two small, two bowls...and I really want that wooden trivet.

I have always loved this short version of the aalto vase. especially in the dark smoky grey. funny, I was thinking of using my aalto vase this week too:)

Vessel is just around the corner from where I live - isn't it a wonderful shop! I'm off to the Alvar Aalto exhibition at the Barbican shortly and looking forward to what I will find there.

I love my Aalto vases too! Did you know they also do ice cube trays in that savoy design? I have them and they are great (strictly for vodka jelly making!)
If you are going to the Barbican to see the exhibition read my blog post for info on freebies, hope it helps... http://arcticcircles.blogspot.com/
