Can you take your sewing machine to have it serviced? Really? I never knew.

Alex

Clear words from your sewing machine, good, you listened to her. Too bad for that nice material... Couldn't you just topstitch the seams to the outer material on that part that is supposed to be turned?
Thanks for sharing the bumpy parts of the process, I always appreciate to see behind the scenes, you can learn so much from other's experiences.

Kate

Congratulations on the resizing - I've got plans to do the same. I don't usually admit to this, but I am so scared of being without a machine that I have two so one can go to get serviced and I'll still have one.

Gina

I absolutely love that fabric! It's so cute!

sally

Has your sewing machine been talking to my sewing machine? I was having the same stitch problems last week...so frustrating! I love the smock top though, very cute and the fabric is fantastic!

Laura

What a cute top, petite 6.5sts will look darling in it! And I'm sorry to hear that your machine isn't feeling well, be nice and lay off the fleece for awhile. Thanks for sharing that the French seams dont' always work, as I was just about to try that out myself on some quilting fabric!

caroline

the fabric is gorgeous - which is usually when my machine decides to b***er up - never on the scrappy trial piece always on the good piece.

i know what you mean about the sewing machine...my first one did that all the time but my new one is the best. i plan to make a top similar to the one you made but i have yet to find the time...nursing takes up all my time so far, so i'm resorting to reading books for now and simple crochet animals in between.

Kelli

I’m not afraid to say something didn’t work out. I’m still learning too.

Well thank goodness! Between your craftying goddess ways, and those of Nicole and Diane (Clementine's Shoes) one starts to think that all Australians are born with some sort of weird perfecting crafting gene that shames the rest of the world.
The dress is lovely. I can't wait to see it on the new petite!

your fabric
combinations
are always
perfect!
the smock is
so cute
despite having
to wrestle with
your machine.

Linda

this just made me laugh as I could SO relate to it, my machine is doing EXACTLY the same thing for no reason at all. Good ol' mum to the rescue, yes I have had to borrow mum's machine and FINALLY will get mine serviced!
