My favourite post from last week was Jane's Survival kit. I love the whole concept of little boxes with secret hidden things in them. And a survival kit for international travel? Sign me up! I promised Jane I'd do one too:: So here is my little Survival Kit - the kit that takes a knitter and crafter through London, Paris, New York, and Milan.

It has to be in a Prada box. A nice dusty pink Prada box held together with pink elastic. It has to say style. Inside the box are essential knitting, crafting and shopping items. I couldn't show everything I'd put in here, because I couldn't find some of the things I wanted through the week. But the kit contains, in clockwise direction from top left:: Some of Axelles Cashmere yarn; dark charcoal thread; a yoyo for queuing; a 6.5st clothes tag for any garments/items you finish (stored in luggage); Prada tinted lip balm in a red/pink colour; needle sizer; 2 different sizes of safety pin for holding together and to act as a stitch holder; french linen and embroidery thread to sashiko something; needles and pins; cable stitch holder and stitch markers; Space NK bath tablet - the pavements can be rutheless; buttons; panadol. Not shown are: Coins for Underground, Metro etc which are sitting in a disorganised pile at work; a Smythson mini Born To Shop notebook with shop locations and ideas; small notepad and pencil (which is usually in my handbag anyway), and folded well worn map of Paris (in addition to the Plan De Paris I live off when there). I was going to put some sweets or chocolate in there, but that would never last long enough.

Now I need a plane ticket...

OF COURSE it has to be in the perfect PINK prada box.... ooohhh ahhhh .... love this!

You'd be upgraded to First Class instantly with this sophisticated mini-luggage, while my old, battered tobacco tin and I would be trying to hitch a lift...
