PROGRESS REPORT
Max's vest is coming along, and I'm about to divide the front for the v-neck. For some reason this scares the willies off me, but I'm taking a deep breathe. Max is off to his grandparents in Canberra this weekend while we have a night and a day to ourselves - so much freedom, what will we do...and I'm hoping I get a push on the front and get it finished by the end of the week.
And I cast on for the man's uneven rib jumper from the Loop D Loop book for The Big Boy, using the same Rowan Kid Classic in Smoke colour as the pattern. Given how long we've been together, and how long I've been knitting and sewing, this is the first item I'll of made for him.
It's a very gorgeous colour, and a very gorgeous wool.

Those colours are plain gorge-us!! Just divide and conquer your fears.

Beautiful colour combination (have I said that already?). You should see dividing the neck as a bonus - each side gets narrower and narrower from here on in. Have a great child-free weekend. You just won't know what to do with yourselves (as Dusty Springfield would say).

Its beautiful! I plan on starting a fair isle project soon. Enjoy your weekend. I'm luck in the same sense, that my children have a very brave grandma! She loves taking all four of the children...and at the SAME TIME, for a weekend excursion!

Love the colour combo on the vest, and that irregular rib jumper is one of the projects i've got on my (very long) list, so it'll be great to see how it comes together. Enjoy your weekend. : )
