While I'm sitting down having my morning tea and cupcake (it's a sad result of having left over cupcakes), I thought I'd share some recent cyber wandering adventures which have tickled me.
I was brousing through Monument magazine and came across an article about 100% Design in London, a showcase of new designers in the UK/Europe/World. It's a cool showcase, and I used to go every year when I lived in London. I digress. One of the featured designers in this article was Donna Wilson, and a great photo of her stuffed creatures. Getting onto her website, she does a neat line in tea cosies. Now given that Cari is reinventing cool through knitting machines, perhaps tea cosies will be fashionable again too. And how could I go past a decorated cake cosy, which compliments my morning tea perfectly. Have a look at her cupcake cosies as well.
This little lady, aptly named Dandelion, has captured my imagination. Along with all her vintage friends, these are sock monkeys by Peng Peng. She also does gorgeously cute teddy bears. One of the reasons these have captivated me, is that Nicole gave me a sock monkey kit for my birthday, and now I'm inspired to take it a little further and dress it and accessorise it when I make mine.

Oohh my we are living in parallel universes. I LOVE tea cosies, love, love, love them. I've been heard to complain about the lack of modern tea cosie patterns (let alone make my own). I've had thoughts about trying to get a tea cosie book published. Or at least some online patterns.

Hey! Kismet! I have just, in this 33rd year of my life, discovered that I love hot tea. Now I must have this cosy to keep it so! Cool link.
